*   38 Special is an American rock band formed in 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida. Known for their Southern rock sound, they gained popularity in the 1980s with a mix of rock, pop, and a bit of blues. The band was founded by Don Barnes and Donnie Van Zant, the younger brother of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ronnie Van Zant.

Their breakthrough album, Wild-Eyed Southern Boys (1981), included hits like "Hold On Loosely" and "Fantasy Girl." The band's energetic style and catchy melodies helped them achieve commercial success throughout the decade.

38 Special continued to release successful albums, with notable tracks such as "Caught Up in You" and "If I'd Been the One." They are known for their engaging live performances and have maintained a loyal fan base over the years.

*  Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise is the sequel to the original Revenge of the Nerds, released in 1987. Directed by Joe Roth, the film continues the story of Lewis Skolnick (Robert Carradine) and Gilbert Lowe (Anthony Edwards) as they attend a national fraternity convention in Florida.

In this sequel, the nerds face new challenges and rivalries, particularly from the Tri-Lambs' old adversaries, the Alpha Betas. The film retains the comedic and lighthearted tone of the original while exploring themes of friendship, acceptance, and standing up against bullying.

While it didn't achieve the same level of acclaim as the first film, Nerds in Paradise has its share of memorable moments and characters, including new additions to the nerdy crew. It solidified the franchise's legacy in 1980s pop culture, appealing to fans of the original.
