The B-52s are an iconic American new wave band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. Their unique blend of rock, punk, and pop, along with their quirky and eccentric style, made them stand out in the music scene of the late 1970s and 1980s. The band consists of vocalists Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, and Fred Schneider, guitarist Keith Strickland, and drummer Ricky Wilson (who passed away in 1985). Some of their most famous songs include "Rock Lobster," "Love Shack," and "Roam." The B-52s have maintained a dedicated fanbase over the years and continue to perform and tour, leaving an indelible mark on pop culture.
