"Carrie" is a horror film based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The original film was directed by Brian De Palma and released in 1976. The story revolves around a high school girl named Carrie White, played by Sissy Spacek, who possesses telekinetic powers. Carrie is an outcast at school and is mistreated by her peers, especially by her fanatically religious mother, played by Piper Laurie.

The plot takes a dark turn when Carrie experiences her first menstruation in the locker room, and her classmates cruelly taunt her. Unbeknownst to them, Carrie's telekinetic abilities are triggered, leading to a series of horrifying events. The film explores themes of bullying, religious fanaticism, and the consequences of unchecked power.
