"Cheers" is a popular American television sitcom that originally aired from 1982 to 1993. The show was created by James Burrows, Glen Charles, and Les Charles. It is set in a bar in Boston called "Cheers" and revolves around the lives of the bar's regular customers and employees.

The show's main characters include Sam Malone (played by Ted Danson), a former baseball player and the bar's owner; Diane Chambers (played by Shelley Long), a waitress with aspirations of becoming a writer; Carla Tortelli (played by Rhea Perlman), a sharp-tongued waitress with a large family; Norm Peterson (played by George Wendt), a customer who is always greeted with a resounding "Norm!" when he enters the bar; and Cliff Clavin (played by John Ratzenberger), a mailman known for his quirky trivia.
