Chris Cornell was an American musician, singer, and songwriter who was best known as the lead vocalist for several popular rock bands, including Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. He was born on July 20, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, and tragically passed away on May 18, 2017.

Chris Cornell's distinctive and powerful voice made him a prominent figure in the 1990s grunge music scene. Soundgarden, the band he co-founded in 1984, was one of the key bands in the grunge movement, and they achieved significant success with albums like "Superunknown." In addition to his work with Soundgarden, Chris Cornell fronted Audioslave, a supergroup that featured former members of Rage Against the Machine, and he pursued a successful solo career.
