"Coneheads" a comedic sketch and later a feature film that originated on the American sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). The Coneheads are a fictional family of aliens who have cone-shaped heads and come from the planet Remulak. The sketches first appeared on SNL in the 1970s and became popular for their absurd humor and unique characters.
The Coneheads consist of Beldar Conehead (played by Dan Aykroyd), his wife Prymaat (played by Jane Curtin), and their daughter Connie (played by Laraine Newman). The characters became well-known for their distinctive appearance, including bald heads with cone-shaped extensions and monotone voices.
In 1993, a feature film titled "Coneheads" was released, expanding on the SNL sketches. The movie starred Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin reprising their roles as Beldar and Prymaat Conehead, with new cast members such as Michelle Burke as their daughter Connie. The film explores the Coneheads' experiences on Earth and their attempts to adapt to human life while concealing their alien identities.
