David Hasselhoff is an American actor, singer, and producer who gained fame for his roles in popular television series, particularly "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch." He was born on July 17, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Hasselhoff is best known for his portrayal of Michael Knight in the 1980s series "Knight Rider," in which he played a crime-fighting detective who had a high-tech, talking car named KITT. He became an international icon thanks to this role.

Another major role that contributed to his fame was as lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the long-running TV series "Baywatch," which ran from 1989 to 2000. The show revolved around the lives of lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County.
