"Demolition Man" is a science fiction action film directed by Marco Brambilla, released in 1993. The film is set in a dystopian future where crime has been virtually eliminated, and society is controlled by a benevolent but authoritarian government. The story revolves around two main characters, John Spartan (played by Sylvester Stallone) and Simon Phoenix (played by Wesley Snipes).

John Spartan is a tough cop from the 20th century who is cryogenically frozen as punishment for his aggressive methods in pursuing criminals. Simon Phoenix is a violent criminal from the same era who is also frozen. Both are thawed out in the future when Phoenix escapes, and the police force needs Spartan's old-school skills to stop him.

The film explores themes of societal control, political correctness, and the clash between Spartan's "old-fashioned" approach to law enforcement and the sanitized, regulated future society. It's known for its satirical take on a future where things like swearing and unhealthy foods are illegal, and for its over-the-top action sequences.
