Rare PROMOTIONAL ONLY U-Matic Video.
U-matic is a type of analog video cassette tape format that was introduced by Sony in 1969. It was one of the earliest professional video formats, designed primarily for use in television studios and broadcast environments. The U-matic tapes were much larger than VHS tapes and used a helical scan system for recording and playback, which was a significant innovation at the time.
The U-matic format became popular in the 1970s and 1980s due to its relatively high-quality video and audio performance, making it a choice for professional and educational purposes. It was used for everything from television production to corporate training videos. However, by the mid-1980s, it was eventually replaced by smaller and more affordable formats like VHS and Betacam for consumer use.

Depeche Mode is a British electronic music band that formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The original lineup consisted of Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Andy Fletcher (keyboards), and Vince Clarke (keyboards). Over the years, there have been changes in the lineup, with Alan Wilder joining in 1982 and Vince Clarke leaving shortly after the release of the band's debut album, "Speak & Spell."
Depeche Mode rose to prominence in the 1980s and became one of the pioneers of synth-pop music. They are known for their dark and atmospheric sound, often characterized by Gahan's distinctive baritone vocals and Gore's introspective and poetic lyrics. Some of their most popular and enduring songs include "Just Can't Get Enough," "People Are People," "Enjoy the Silence," "Personal Jesus," and "Policy of Truth."
The band's discography includes numerous critically acclaimed albums, such as "Violator," "Music for the Masses," and "Songs of Faith and Devotion." Depeche Mode has maintained a dedicated fan base over the years and has had a significant influence on the electronic and alternative music genres.
Depeche Mode's music often explores themes of love, politics, and existentialism. Their style has evolved over the years, incorporating elements of industrial, rock, and alternative music. Despite facing challenges, including internal conflicts and Gahan's well-documented struggles with substance abuse, the band has persevered and continued to produce music that resonates with a global audience.
