*  Depeche Mode is a British electronic music band that formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The founding members of the band are Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Andy Fletcher (keyboards), and Vince Clarke (keyboards). Vince Clarke left the band shortly after their debut album, and Alan Wilder joined in 1982, contributing significantly to the band's sound until his departure in 1995.

Depeche Mode achieved widespread fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with a string of successful albums, including "Some Great Reward" (1984), "Black Celebration" (1986), "Music for the Masses" (1987), and the critically acclaimed "Violator" (1990). The band is known for its dark, atmospheric sound and the unique combination of electronic elements with Gahan's distinctive baritone vocals.

Some of Depeche Mode's popular songs include "Just Can't Get Enough," "People Are People," "Personal Jesus," "Enjoy the Silence," and "Policy of Truth." They have sold millions of records worldwide and have a dedicated fan base. The band has continued to release albums and tour over the years, maintaining their influence in the electronic and alternative music scenes.

*   "Violator" is the seventh studio album by the English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released on March 19, 1990. The album marked a turning point in the band's career, becoming their most successful release to date. "Violator" features some of Depeche Mode's most iconic and enduring songs.

Notable tracks from the album include:

  1. "Personal Jesus" - This song became one of Depeche Mode's signature tracks and is known for its bluesy guitar riff and distinctive lyrics.
  2. "Enjoy the Silence" - Another hit from the album, this song won a Grammy Award and is one of the band's most recognized and acclaimed songs.
  3. "Policy of Truth" - This track also gained popularity and is known for its catchy melody and introspective lyrics.

"Violator" is often regarded as a landmark album in the synth-pop and alternative music genres. It showcased a more mature and sophisticated sound for Depeche Mode, and its success solidified their status as one of the leading bands in the electronic music scene.
