Drew Brees is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on January 15, 1979, in Austin, Texas. Brees is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Brees played college football at Purdue University and was selected by the San Diego Chargers as the first pick in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played for the Chargers from 2001 to 2005. In 2006, he signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he enjoyed the majority of his success and established himself as one of the league's elite quarterbacks.

During his tenure with the Saints, Brees led the team to victory in Super Bowl XLIV following the 2009 NFL season, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. He also set numerous NFL records for passing yards, completions, and touchdown passes during his career. Brees was known for his accuracy, leadership, and ability to read defenses.

Drew Brees retired from professional football after the 2020 season, concluding a remarkable career that spanned two decades. His impact on the game and the city of New Orleans, both on and off the field, has left a lasting legacy. After retiring, Brees transitioned to a broadcasting role, joining NBC Sports as a football analyst.
