Duran Duran is a British new wave and synth-pop band that emerged in the late 1970s and achieved widespread popularity in the 1980s. The band's classic lineup consists of Simon Le Bon (vocals), Nick Rhodes (keyboards), John Taylor (bass), Roger Taylor (drums), and Andy Taylor (guitar). They were part of the "Second British Invasion" in the United States, along with bands like Depeche Mode and Culture Club.

Duran Duran gained international fame with their stylish image, innovative music videos, and a string of hit singles. Some of their most well-known songs include "Rio," "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Save a Prayer," "The Reflex," and "A View to a Kill," the latter being the theme song for a James Bond film.

Over the years, Duran Duran has gone through various lineup changes, and the band has continued to release albums and tour. They have experimented with different musical styles, including dance, funk, and rock, contributing to their longevity and ability to adapt to changing musical landscapes.
