"Easy Rider" is a 1969 American counterculture road movie directed by Dennis Hopper, written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Terry Southern, and produced by Peter Fonda. The film is a landmark in the history of American cinema and is often regarded as one of the defining films of the 1960s.

The movie stars Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper as two bikers, Wyatt (nicknamed "Captain America") and Billy, who embark on a motorcycle journey from Los Angeles to New Orleans to attend Mardi Gras. Along the way, they encounter various people and situations that reflect the cultural and social issues of the time, including the counterculture movement, drug use, and the tension between the establishment and the youth rebellion of the 1960s.
