Glenn Danzig is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who is best known for his work in the punk rock and heavy metal genres. He was born on June 23, 1955, in Lodi, New Jersey. Danzig is the founder and frontman of the bands Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig.

The Misfits, formed in the late 1970s, are one of the most influential and iconic bands in the punk and horror punk subgenres. Glenn Danzig was the band's original lead vocalist and primary songwriter. The Misfits are known for their horror-themed lyrics and imagery.

After leaving the Misfits, Danzig formed the band Samhain in 1983. Samhain's music had a darker and more gothic sound compared to the Misfits. The band released several albums before Danzig moved on to his self-titled project, Danzig, in 1987. Under the Danzig moniker, Glenn released a series of albums that incorporated elements of heavy metal, hard rock, and blues into his music. Some of the notable songs from Danzig's solo career include "Mother" and "Am I Demon."
