Godsmack is an American rock band that formed in 1995 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The band's original lineup consisted of Sully Erna (vocals, rhythm guitar), Tony Rombola (lead guitar), Robbie Merrill (bass), and Tommy Stewart (drums). They gained popularity in the late 1990s with their self-titled debut album, which included hits like "Whatever" and "Keep Away."

Godsmack's music is often characterized by a heavy, hard rock sound with elements of alternative metal. Over the years, they have released several albums, including "Awake," "Faceless," "IV," and "The Oracle." Some of their well-known songs include "I Stand Alone," "Voodoo," "Speak," and "Bulletproof."
