Great White is an American rock band that was formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. The band gained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s with their bluesy hard rock sound. One of their most well-known songs is "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," which was a cover of a song originally written by Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople.

The classic lineup of Great White included:

  1. Jack Russell: Lead vocals
  2. Mark Kendall: Guitar
  3. Audie Desbrow: Drums
  4. Michael Lardie: Guitar, keyboards
  5. Tony Montana: Bass guitar

Great White's music was characterized by a combination of hard rock, blues-rock, and glam metal elements. They released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with their self-titled album in 1984 and "Once Bitten" in 1987 being among their most successful.

However, the band faced tragedy in 2003 when a fire broke out at one of their concerts at The Station nightclub in Rhode Island. The fire resulted in the deaths of 100 people, including the band's guitarist, Ty Longley.
