"Cobra Kai" is a popular American television series that originally premiered on YouTube Red (now YouTube Premium) in May 2018. The series later moved to Netflix, where it gained even more popularity. "Cobra Kai" is a continuation of the popular "The Karate Kid" film franchise and is set 34 years after the events of the first film.

The series follows the lives of Johnny Lawrence (played by William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio), who were the main rivals in the original "Karate Kid" film. Johnny reopens the Cobra Kai karate dojo, which reignites the rivalry between him and Daniel. As the series progresses, it explores the complexities of their characters, their relationships, and the legacy of karate in their lives. The show also introduces a new generation of young martial artists who become central to the story.
