"MASH" is a popular American television series that originally aired from 1972 to 1983. The show was created by Larry Gelbart and Gene Reynolds and was based on Richard Hooker's novel "MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors." The title "MASH" stands for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, and the series is set during the Korean War.

The show is known for its unique blend of comedy and drama, and it follows the lives of the staff at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, a U.S. Army medical unit stationed near the front lines during the Korean War. The main characters include Captain Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce, Captain "Trapper" John McIntyre, and later, Captain B.J. Hunnicutt, who are the chief surgeons at the MAS*H unit. The cast also includes other memorable characters like Colonel Sherman T. Potter, Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, and Corporal Maxwell Klinger.
