Milli Vanilli was a pop music duo formed by German producer and songwriter Frank Farian. The duo consisted of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus. Milli Vanilli gained international fame in the late 1980s for their catchy pop songs and stylish image. One of their biggest hits was "Girl You Know It's True."

However, their success came crashing down when it was revealed that Morvan and Pilatus did not actually sing on their recordings. The duo became embroiled in a scandal in 1990 when it was exposed that the vocals on their albums were performed by other singers, and Morvan and Pilatus were essentially lip-syncing in their music videos and live performances.

As a result of the scandal, Milli Vanilli's Grammy Award for Best New Artist was revoked, and they faced legal and professional repercussions. The incident had a significant impact on the music industry and raised questions about authenticity and integrity in the pop music world. Milli Vanilli's career quickly declined, and the duo disbanded.

Despite the controversy, Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus both continued to work in the music industry separately, and Morvan released solo music in the years that followed. The Milli Vanilli saga remains a notable chapter in the history of popular music.
