Morrissey’s work with The Smiths (1982–1987) is legendary, with albums like "The Queen Is Dead" (1986) and "Meat Is Murder" (1985) featuring some of the band's most beloved tracks, such as There Is a Light That Never Goes Out, This Charming Man, and How Soon Is Now?. The Smiths' music combined jangly guitars, introspective lyrics, and a melancholic yet witty tone that resonated with fans.

After The Smiths disbanded in 1987, Morrissey launched a highly successful solo career. His solo work is marked by its combination of biting social commentary, dark humor, and often controversial subject matter. Albums like "Viva Hate" (1988), "Your Arsenal" (1992), and "You Are the Quarry" (2004) have produced hits like Suedehead, Everyday Is Like Sunday, and Irish Blood, English Heart.
