N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) was a groundbreaking hip-hop group from Compton, California, formed in 1987. The lineup included Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella. They are often credited with popularizing gangsta rap and bringing West Coast hip-hop to the forefront of the music scene.

Their debut album, Straight Outta Compton (1988), featured explicit lyrics that addressed themes of police brutality, street life, and social issues, and included iconic tracks like "F*** tha Police" and the title track "Straight Outta Compton." The album was both controversial and influential, and it played a significant role in shaping the direction of hip-hop.

N.W.A's raw style and fearless commentary on life in inner-city America paved the way for future artists and sparked conversations about race, violence, and censorship in music. Despite their breakup in the early '90s, their legacy continues to resonate, and their influence can still be seen in contemporary hip-hop.
