Philip Rivers is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on December 8, 1981, in Decatur, Alabama. Rivers played the majority of his career with the San Diego Chargers, who later became the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rivers had a successful career and was known for his durability, leadership, and competitive spirit. He spent 16 seasons in the NFL, playing for the Chargers from 2004 to 2019. In 2020, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts for his final season before officially announcing his retirement in January 2021.

Throughout his career, Philip Rivers earned numerous accolades, including being selected to the Pro Bowl multiple times. While he did not win a Super Bowl, he had a significant impact on the teams he played for and left a lasting legacy in the NFL.
