Ozzy Osbourne, born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948, is a British singer and songwriter known as the "Prince of Darkness." He gained fame as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath in the early 1970s. Black Sabbath is widely considered one of the pioneers of the heavy metal genre.

Osbourne's distinctive voice and dramatic stage presence contributed significantly to Black Sabbath's success. Some of their most famous albums include "Paranoid," "Master of Reality," and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath." However, Osbourne left Black Sabbath in 1979 and pursued a solo career.

His solo career took off with the release of his debut album, "Blizzard of Ozz," in 1980. This album featured iconic tracks such as "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley." Osbourne continued to achieve success with subsequent albums like "Diary of a Madman" and "Bark at the Moon."

In addition to his music career, Ozzy Osbourne became a reality TV star with the MTV show "The Osbournes," which aired from 2002 to 2005. The show provided a glimpse into his family life, including his wife Sharon and children Kelly and Jack.
