Rob Zombie is an American musician, filmmaker, and actor known for his work in the realms of heavy metal music and horror films. He was born on January 12, 1965, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, as Robert Bartleh Cummings.

Musically, Rob Zombie first gained fame as the founder and frontman of the heavy metal band White Zombie, which was active from 1985 to 1998. The band achieved commercial success with albums like "La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One" (1992) and "Astro-Creep: 2000" (1995). After the disbandment of White Zombie, he embarked on a successful solo career. His solo discography includes albums like "Hellbilly Deluxe" (1998), "The Sinister Urge" (2001), and "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" (2013).

In addition to his music career, Rob Zombie is known for his work as a filmmaker. He made his directorial debut with the horror film "House of 1000 Corpses" in 2003, followed by its sequel, "The Devil's Rejects" (2005). He also directed the 2007 "Halloween" remake and its 2009 sequel, "Halloween II." His style often incorporates elements of horror, gore, and the macabre.
