Roxette was a Swedish pop rock duo consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. The duo achieved international success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with a series of hit songs and albums. Some of their most popular songs include "The Look," "Listen to Your Heart," "It Must Have Been Love," and "Joyride."
Roxette's music is known for its catchy melodies, pop-rock sound, and Marie Fredriksson's powerful vocals. The duo's success continued into the early 2000s, and they remained active until Marie Fredriksson's health issues forced her to leave the touring life. Marie Fredriksson passed away in December 2019, and her death marked the end of Roxette as a performing duo.
