Skid Row is an American hard rock band formed in 1986 in New Jersey. They gained widespread popularity in the late '80s and early '90s, particularly with their self-titled debut album, which featured hits like "Youth Gone Wild," "18 and Life," and "I Remember You." Their music combined powerful vocals, guitar-driven melodies, and themes of youth rebellion and personal struggles.
The band is often associated with the glam metal scene but also incorporates elements of heavy metal and punk rock. Their second album, Slave to the Grind (1991), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and showcased a heavier sound.
Despite lineup changes and the eventual departure of original lead singer Sebastian Bach, Skid Row has continued to perform and release music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
