The "Rocky" film series is a popular American boxing franchise that began with the release of the first film, "Rocky," in 1976. The film was both written by and starred Sylvester Stallone as the main character, Rocky Balboa. The success of the first film led to the creation of a successful franchise, with several sequels and spin-offs.

The main films in the "Rocky" series include:

  1. Rocky (1976): The original film tells the story of Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from Philadelphia who gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. The film was a critical and commercial success, winning three Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

  2. Rocky II (1979): This sequel continues the story of Rocky Balboa as he adjusts to his newfound fame and gets a rematch with the heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed.

  7. Creed (2015): Although not a traditional Rocky film, this spin-off focuses on Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, and his journey to become a boxer. Rocky Balboa serves as his trainer and mentor.

  8. Creed II (2018): The sequel to Creed continues Adonis Creed's story as he faces Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan Drago, who was Rocky's opponent in "Rocky IV."
