They're known for their melancholic lyrics, haunting melodies, and Smith's distinctive voice and teased hair. Some of their most famous songs include "Just Like Heaven," "Lovesong," "Friday I'm in Love," and "Boys Don't Cry." Their music has spanned various genres, including gothic rock, new wave, and alternative rock.
