RIAA 4 x Platinum Certified Sales Award presented to Evan Bridwell of KUZZ for The Dixie Chicks album Wide Open Spaces.

The Dixie Chicks' album "Wide Open Spaces" was released on January 27, 1998. It was their fourth studio album and a pivotal moment in their career. The album's title track, "Wide Open Spaces," became a major hit and is one of the Dixie Chicks' most well-known songs.

This one is very cool.  The band name is painted on the front plexi.   There are multiple layers of matting to give this a 3-D affect.  We tried to show this in the photos. But as you can imagine, it is SO much better in person.

One of a kind

Excellent Condition

Highly Collectable!

We will NEVER have another one of these to sell.

This one is large - Measures 32" W x 24 H".

The Dixie Chicks are an American country music group that formed in 1989 in Dallas, Texas. The original members were Martie Erwin Maguire (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Emily Erwin Robison (banjo, dobro, guitar, vocals), and Laura Lynch (bass, vocals). Later, Natalie Maines joined the group as the lead vocalist.

The Dixie Chicks achieved commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hit albums such as "Wide Open Spaces" (1998) and "Fly" (1999). They became one of the most successful country music groups during that time, earning numerous awards and accolades.

However, the Dixie Chicks became the center of controversy in 2003 when, during a concert in London, Natalie Maines criticized then-President George W. Bush and the impending invasion of Iraq. This led to backlash from some country music fans, radio stations, and the country music industry. The group faced boycotts and criticism, and their music was pulled from many country radio stations.

Despite the controversy, the Dixie Chicks continued to make music and released the album "Taking the Long Way" in 2006. The album, which addressed the fallout from the controversy, won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

The Dixie Chicks took a hiatus after the release of "Taking the Long Way," and in 2010, the group officially dropped "Dixie" from their name, becoming The Chicks. They made a comeback in 2020 with the album "Gaslighter."

The Dixie Chicks/The Chicks have been recognized for their contributions to country music and their outspokenness on social and political issues. Their career has been marked by both success and challenges, making them a notable and influential presence in the country music scene.
