"The Untouchables" is a 1987 American crime film directed by Brian De Palma and written by David Mamet. The film is a fictionalized account of the efforts of a group of law enforcement officers in Chicago during the Prohibition era to bring down the infamous gangster Al Capone. The "Untouchables" refers to a group of federal agents who were determined to bring Capone to justice and were considered untouchable by corruption or bribery.

The movie stars Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness, the leader of the Untouchables, and Robert De Niro as Al Capone. Sean Connery also plays a key role as Jim Malone, a seasoned streetwise cop who assists Ness in his pursuit of Capone.
