"Timeline" is a science fiction adventure film directed by Richard Donner, released in 2003. It's based on the novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. The story follows a group of archaeologists who are sent back in time to 14th-century France to rescue their professor, who got trapped in the past while exploring a newly discovered portal. As they navigate the dangers of medieval Europe, they must race against time to save their friend and find a way back to the present. The film explores themes of time travel, historical accuracy, and the clash between the modern world and the past. Despite mixed reviews from critics, "Timeline" has gained a cult following among fans of both science fiction and historical adventure genres.
