Vinnie Paul, whose full name was Vincent Paul Abbott, was a renowned American musician and drummer. He was born on March 11, 1964, and unfortunately, he passed away on June 22, 2018. Vinnie Paul was best known as a founding member and the drummer for the heavy metal bands Pantera and Hellyeah.

Pantera was one of the most influential and successful bands in the metal genre during the 1990s, known for albums like "Vulgar Display of Power" and "Far Beyond Driven." Vinnie Paul, along with his brother Dimebag Darrell (Darrell Lance Abbott), formed the core of Pantera. Tragically, Dimebag Darrell was killed on stage in 2004, which led to the dissolution of the band.

After Pantera, Vinnie Paul and his former Pantera bandmate, Dimebag Darrell, formed the band Damageplan, but it was short-lived. Vinnie Paul then went on to create Hellyeah, a supergroup that incorporated elements of metal and hard rock, featuring various other notable musicians.
