Warrant is an American rock band formed in 1984, best known for their contributions to the glam metal and hard rock scenes of the late '80s and early '90s. The classic lineup included lead vocalist Jani Lane, guitarist Erik Turner, bassist Jerry Dixon, drummer Steven Sweet, and guitarist Joey Allen.
Their debut album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich (1989), included hit singles like "Heaven" and "Down Boys," which showcased their catchy hooks and glam-inspired sound. The band's follow-up album, Cherry Pie (1990), featured the iconic title track, which became one of their signature songs and solidified their place in rock history.
Warrant experienced significant commercial success during the early '90s but faced challenges as musical tastes shifted. Despite lineup changes and the passing of Jani Lane in 2011, the band continues to tour and perform, maintaining a loyal fan base.
